BRITISH GOAT SOCIETY FORUM

The BGS Forum:
is to enable the exchange of information and advice about goats and goat keeping;
is a private Yahoo group available to paid up BGS members only.

Membership is by online invitation which will be sent on request to paid up BGS members.
Contact Mrs C Ball email:  peaclond@talktalk.net

We hope it will be of use to newer goat keepers; members with a particular goat problem where the experiences of others might be helpful; issues on feeds, housing, medicines & their alternatives or health issues.

Members need to be constantly aware of the aims of the Society when deciding on the suitability of topics raised.

The aims of the Society are:

  • To circulate knowledge and general information upon goats.
  • To extend and encourage the keeping of goats, so as to increase the production and use of their products.
  • To improve the various breeds of goats, and especially to develop those qualities which are generally recognized and valued.
  • To safeguard against cruelty from whatever source.
  • In the furtherance of the foregoing objects but not further or otherwise, the Society shall have the power to further the well being of the goat and fulfil its role as the focal point for all goatkeeping activities in the United Kingdom, including close liaison with relevant Government departments.

  • Before you can access the group to enable you to take part you will need to complete a bit of ID for Yahoo.

  • Just follow the links in your invitation.

  • If you have problems email me direct and I will help you. Christine Ball email:  peaclond@talktalk.net

    Make a note of the username and password created at the time of joining.

You will find three choices for sending and receiving messages.
